Do you remember your first sip of caffeine? I do. I was one of those kids whose parents (rightfully) tried to limit their caffeine intake as a child, so I was restricted to things like Diet Dr. Pepper and the occasional Diet Coke.
But then. One night, at a sleepover at Pat’s, between the slices of Papa Murphys and 007 Nightfire – a golden bottle descended from the heavens:
Yes. You guessed it. Mountain Dew LiveWire. My life was never the same from then on. I had tasted chemical stimulants in a fun dosage.
Anyways: Blawan is back, and SickElixir is the first sip of Mt. Dew LiveWire after a year of music without a strong list of fresh standouts. Style Teef is an obvious pick for early favorite track, but other tunes like Rabbit Hole and Creature Brigade also are in high contention.
Never afraid of unique sound design – Blawan kinda throws it all to the wind and lets it ride on this one. If you are a casual EDM enjoyer, you might not necessarily enjoy every song on this release… but you are sure to find a favorite. Give it a listen. Take a walk. Give it a listen again. Bask in it. Steep in it. Turn into Blawan tea.
